Plug-and-Play Installation
These modules are designed for quick installation, simply remove the factory connector from the back of the idle off switch and fit our dedicated wiring harness between the factory idle off switch and factory connector.
No additional wiring, cutting or splicing into factory wiring is required, once fitted the system is fully functional with no additional programming or input required by the driver.
Every time you then start the vehicle within a few seconds the module will automatically deactivate the factory idle off function, there is no requirement to press the idle off switch every time the ignition is turned on.
Should you need to revert back to the idle off function, once the engine is operating to temporary turn the Idle Stop System back on, simply press the factory idle off switch and the function will be reinstated.
Once the vehicle has been turned off (for at least fifteen seconds) and back on the Idle Stop System will always default to off.
NOTE: Two dedicated systems are available as the D-MAX and MU-X use different Idle Stop System, additional trim around the transmission is required to be removed to complete the installation for all MU-X models.
Installation:
D-Max remove coin tray then reach up behind the idle off switch to disconnect the factory connector, then simply fit the supplied patch harness between the factory wiring and switch.
